From the earliest days of our Fellowship, India has played a prominent role in the Assemblies of God. It is notable that the oldest Assemblies of God Bible College outside of the United States is Bethel Bible College in Punalur. Through the years, the Assemblies of God USA has enjoyed close relations with the All India General Council. The hospitality shown during the World Assemblies of God Fellowship congress in India was a positive reflection of India’s leadership in our worldwide Fellowship. Today we continue to see that the Assemblies of God of India is a strong and vibrant part of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.
It is with great joy that I express our heartfelt congratulations at your reaching this milestone of 100 years. We look forward to what God has in store for the Assemblies of God in India in the coming years. We also look forward to continued close relationship as we work together to build on the foundation laid for us in the past 100 years. I would like to express my personal congratulations to Pastor D. Mohan, All India General Superintendent, for hosting this great celebration. I am sure it will bless the Church in India and especially all those in attendance.

Our hearts are filled with thanksgiving as we approach the Centennial Celebration of the India Assemblies of God. It is truly amazing to see what the Lord has done during the past one hundred years. We are honoured and humbled by the privilege to work with the current leaders of the India Assemblies of God. What a wonderful team of leaders the Lord has raised up. At this historic occasion it is right and good to reflect on the past, and it is healthy and positive to anticipate the future. Our prayer in Assemblies of God World Missions is that the seed that was scattered over this past century by men and women of God—faithful in their calling, fearless in their proclamation, and hopeful for a bountiful harvest—will bear fruit through the work of the Holy Spirit and faithful service. The Assemblies of God in India has a long legacy of growth and partnership. What started as a handful of foreign and Indian workers laboring in a few isolated areas, has now grown into a movement that encompasses the nation. From Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, from Nagaland across to Mumbai and in thousands of villages and cities in between, the Assemblies of God is making an impact in this great nation. God has raised up His choicest leaders for this nation. We are privileged to serve alongside Pastor Mohan and the executive leadership of the Assemblies of God India. God has also also raised up some of the finest pastors, teachers and evangelist who serve in this great fellowship. As members of AGWM, it is our privilege to serve with you all.

One hundred years ago, God was speaking the name of India into the hearts and minds of Assemblies of God leaders, ministers and other believers in USA. With the encouragement of their leadership and the power in the blood of Jesus, we saw many lives and families were changed, churches were built and God’s presence was seen in many parts of India. Today, we see the visible proof of the power of God by the way India has grown in the word of God, which is beyond our imagination. I pray that until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will rededicate ourselves to train our spirits to hear the spoken word of God and carefully and fully commit ourselves to carry out what God speaks to us as individuals and as a fellowship of believers. Let us move on into even greater miracles in the coming days than what we have seen during the past richly blessed centenary.

Praise God for 100 whole fruitful years! It has been an amazing journey watching the Assemblies of God India, grow from the first year it had started. I want to thank and praise God for His abundant grace and mercy upon AGI and raising the banner every year for His glory alone. I am grateful and thankful for every pastor under the Assemblies of God India, who have stood this far to make it what it is today. The great commission that was bestowed upon every one of us will be fulfilled in the days to come with the help of the Holy Spirit. As we SCALE UP for the years ahead, I believe that God is going to raise more harvesters for the extension of His kingdom. We welcome you to our centenary celebrations of the Assemblies of God India. Outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the turn of the 20th century gave birth to the formation of the Assemblies of God. It all started just with around 300 pastors and believers in 1914 .Today we have more than 500,000 pastors and workers, more than 400,000 churches and more than 70 million believers in 241 countries.
We thank God for the work He has given us in all the states of India. Our goal is to plant 25,000 churches by 2020.Let us come together to thank God for what He has done in the past and to rededicate ourselves to reach India with the gospel of Jesus Christ

Celebrating 100 years of the Assemblies of God India is an occasion to remember God’s love and His faithfulness for His Church through the century. A humble beginning one hundred years ago, in the Lord has now grown to benefit millions of souls and has been brought under the fellowship of the Assemblies of God. We thank God for those faithful ones on whose shoulders we stand for this joyous and memorable occasion. Their time, treasure and talent, coupled with the grace of God have fuelled the torch that continues to shine on our path. We will continue to seek to advance the kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit all over the nations in order to fulfill the Great Commission of our Master – Lord Jesus Christ and Vision 2020.

AGI Centennial Conference is a special gathering of pastors and church delegates who are passionate about the Kingdom of God and instinctively know that God wants to do “immeasurably more”. ‘ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us’ ( Ephesians 3: 20). Remember, we are one big Assemblies of God family. We can prayerfully support and encourage one another.

Every beginning is a humble beginning according to Prophet Zechariah but it is by the Spirit that we see its results later on. What began as a humble fellowship in different parts of India some hundred years ago has now become a great organisation for His glory in our great nation by the Spirit of God. It certainly is marvellous in our eyes!
As we gather in Chennai these days, we must give thanks to our God for His faithfulness in the past and seek His guidance and power to carry out the great commission of our Lord Jesus before His soon return.
